5/6 Sport

“Go Highvale!” cheered the students.

It was all systems go for the Year 5/6s with their busy sports program this term. On Fridays the students trialled Softball, Kanga Cricket, Rounders and T-Ball to see which ones they liked and then chose one of them for the Summer Round Robin day. We received a mixed bag of results, with the most successful one being the Rounders team achieving three wins out of four games. There were some very talented opposition teams but our students had a great time.

Another sports activity some student have been involved in is swimming. We had a team of eight from Highvale represent us at the District competition, with six of these moving onto Division. We now have a relay and some individual swims through to Regionals which is highly impressive! At the District swim meet we even had Cherise break records in the 50m Butterfly and the 50m Breaststroke and Sam in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. We can’t wait to hear about your regional results!

The other upcoming events we have this term are Athletics and Tennis where we are hoping for continued positive participation and results. Go Highvale!
